Did you know
Did you know that in 1857, David Jones of Raglan claimed to have a invented a perpetual motion machine!
PERPETUAL MOTION. Mr David Jones, of Raglan, Monmouthshire, has provisionally specified an invention for obtaining motive power by the combined action of air, water, and other fluids upon each other by vacuum or pressure in a certain shaped apparatus. He proposes to produce and maintain at no expense whatever reciprocating movement of a cylinder so long as water is in the vessels, and to employ such motive power as a prime mover in any convenient manner (n.b.. 1851 Raglan Census: David Jones, head, Married to Gwellyn, age 41. b.
